This time I tried Prell Shampoo
Worked pretty well
Definitely made my hair squeaky clean
Not so great at softening
Thank goodness for conditioner!

What a fun idea! I've thought about doing that before, but I have insanely (really, trust me it's nuts!) sensitive skin and am always hesitant to buy new products (that I haven't tried before) in case I get a bad reaction and the experience ends up being a waste of money (and unused product!). That said, I think that certain beauty items from the past were gentler and purer than the formulas used today.
For sourcing certain brands that have been around for ages, Bigelow Chemists (http://www.bigelowchemists.com) and The Vermont Country Store (http://www.vermontcountrystore.com/Shop) are both useful (I'll warn you though, it's really hard to check out those sites and not buy anything :D).

I remember prell..that funny little bottle. I have very dry hair and couldn't use it then (though I tried) and can't now. I find unusual items every so often.. but if you find any on line..pass it along.
