Fashion Friday - 'A Chapman Original'

Ceil Chapman was noted for her designs of cocktail dresses in the late 1940's and 1950's.

This self-taught designer was apparently Marilyn Monroe's favorite.  Chapman dressed other famous stars such as Greer Garson and Grace Kelly.  She also had created the trousseau for Elizabeth Taylor's 1950 wedding to Conrad Nicky Hilton.
