Cherrill and Cary's Cottage

Virginia Cherrill (12 April 1908 - 14 November 1996) and Cary Grant (18 January 1904 - 29 November 1986) at home; 1934.  Cherrill was an actress with 15 credits, most famously for playing "The Blind Girl" in Charlie Chaplin's City Lights (1931).

She met husband Cary Grant at the premiere of Blonde Venus (1932).  She would quit acting in 1933 pending her marriage to Grant.  Grant and Cherrill were married on 9 February 1934.  Virginia left Cary after 7 months, citing he abused her, with the divorce finalized 26 March 1935.  Virginia would be married a total of 4 times.
