A Pair of Nines

"The Lady Mountbattan party was in the nature of an anniversary celebration for Miss Pickford.  She had been married for nine years on the day (She married Douglas Fairbanks, Sr. on August 3, 1922).

Today is my ninth anniversary.  In a couple weeks, Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks, Sr. would be celebrating what would be their 90th anniversary.  I am so thrilled that my wonderful husband and I have been married for 9 memorable, joyous, challenging, exciting, and lovely years.  He is my everything, and I am so grateful that we found each other.  I simply adore him.  Thankfully, unlike poor Mary, I will be spending my anniversary with my sweetheart.
