Vintage Inspiration July 1

Today I was sick, but had the pleasure of viewing several Warren William films on TCM. I love Warren William. He is one of those actors that never quite made the big time, but was leading man in a lot of B films including the Perry Mason series and The Lone Wolf series. He worked in films from 1922 to 1947. Unfortunately he was taken from us WAY to soon from Multiple Myeloma (incurable blood plasma cancer with only a max of 3 years to live - depressing).

Warren William Trivia
  • He was from Minnesota (like me)
  • His first talkie was Honor of the Family (1931)
  • Joan Blondell said of William "was an old man even when he was a young man."
  • An amateur inventor, William held the patent for the first lawn vacuum, a device which became commonplace with landscapers decades after his death (IMDB)
